Everest bags biggest tower crane order
Everest Engineernig Equipment has bagged a bulk order for 62 units of 12t flat top tower cranes from BG Shirke. 'This is the biggest order in the history of tower cranes. With this order we have supplied 158 units of tower cranes to the pre-cast building industry in India within a span of 3-4 years,' says PV Ramdev, Managing Director, Everest Engineering Equipment Pvt Ltd.

India is coming up with huge volume of low cost economic apartments through precast in all major cities. Precast building constructions are being done with highly mechanised technology, which will complete the entire 10-20 storey building in all respect, within 5-6 months time. According to Ramdev, this method has proven to be safe, long lasting and very fast in construction. In the precast construction, tower cranes play a vital role in handling the precast segments in the yard and during the erection of these segments in the building construction.

'We have customised these tower cranes according to Indian design standards, very smooth operation for accurate placement of precast segments, competitively priced with the highest safety standards, including anti-collision systems and safe load indicators (SLI). Through this high safety standard, the precast segment rejections due to collisions and jerking placements are eliminated,' explains Ramdev.

All these cranes are inspected at the factory by an American third-party agency (SGS) and passed all the rigorous tests. SGS conducts the stage-wise inspections from raw material, welding to the final load testing, painting and galvanising, which ensures the durability, accuracy and safety of these cranes.

Ramdev elaborates on the advantages of these tower cranes, 'All the electrical connections are of plug-type for quick installation and dismantling. All the mechanisms are selected from highly reputed manufacturers with IP55 and variable frequency drive (VFD) type motors to reduce the power consumption by up to 35-40 per cent. If this tower crane is operated with DG set, then it can save about four litre of diesel per hour. Normally, a tower crane operates for 20 hr a day and 26 days a month, which will save about 2,080 litre of diesel per month, a cost saving of Rs 1,24,800. You will surprise to see that a saving of Rs 15,00,000 per year from diesel cost itself, which were burned for no reason.'

For more details contact:
Email: ramdev@everestengg.in
