How do you see the demand-supply scenario for your product range?</span><br />Our company supplies various types of loaded and empty container handling cranes and industrial heavy duty forklifts of 10 tonne and above. The steady growth in container volumes has allowed us to make investments in this sector to meet the growing demand of container handling equipment and heavy duty forklifts. The sector is now demanding associated services like maintenance services, equipment leasing, rentals and operations services which opens up good opportunity for professional services companies like us in this sector.</p><p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Could you brief us on the sales performance? How do you compare the demand from major, non-major and private ports? </span><br />The port equipment sector has been able to perform as per the budgets agreed and we do foresee a shift in procurement from government (Major) sector to private (non-major) sector. This is due to the declared policy of government that private sector role in port sector will keep increasing and government would play the role of governing the sector instead of operating the ports. </p><p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">What are the new products and solutions from Cargotec?</span><br />Our future plan is to offer digitalised solutions for this sector that will help our customers to increase productivity and efficiency. Our services would include advisory services towards this monitoring fuel consumptions, productivity, driver efficiency, etc, which will help customers to improve cost efficiencies in their operations.</p><p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">What are the fuel efficiency features of your range of equipment? </span><br />We have been constantly working on improvement in efficiency in cargo handling. Fuel savings is always a topic of great interest with our customer globally. We keep engaged by working with our drivetrain supplier on constant innovation and improvement in performance. Power on demand, load sensing hydraulics, optimised working of powertrain, and equipment management through smart fleet RMI are some of the features which have impacted on fuel efficiency.</p><p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">How important is safety in port equipment? What are the safety features in your range?</span><br />Safety has been the key parameter while we design and manufacture our products and deliver our services. We care utmost for the safety of human being and we are committed to create a safe working environment while using our equipment. In our equipment, the following safety features and options are available: Speed control, fire suppression system, reverse warning system with audio alarm, reverse camera with display, seat switch for operation control, weight indicator, extra lights and mirrors, load protection on carriage, and safety attachments or accessories.</p><p>Apart from the above specs, the following specifications are used to have safer machines: strong cabin and canopy, laminated roof glass and roof protection, overload protection, fire extinguisher, safety kit, seat belt and arm rest, reverse alarm, reverse light, rotating beacon and reflection sticker.</p><p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Could you elaborate on your product enhancement plans?</span><br />Our product enhancements are dependent on the R&amp;D developments, customer demand and safety requirement, which we assess on continuous basis. Our existing range of equipment is able to address the current market demands and we are always on the lookout for new product launch based on market demand.</p>
